Meet The Evergreen Oral Surgery Team
Our Team consists of highly trained individuals who are dedicated to making your visit to our office as comfortable as possible. From the knowledgeable administrative staff, to our caring and compassionate clinical team of surgical assistants, we are constantly striving to provide you with an exceptional surgical experience.
Lisa, Practice Manager
Lisa has been with the office from day 1. She was new in the dental field at the time, having previously worked with accountants, lawyers and engineers. She received her BA in Accounting from Suffolk University in Boston, MA. She is really enjoying the dental field and finds satisfaction when she can help a patient through any point of the surgery process. Since she’s not from Washington, on her days off she loves spending time with her family and exploring the area as much as possible. As a runner, she enjoys doing some of that exploring on foot with her dog.
“My goal for this practice is to establish a positive and comfortable experience for each patient that walks through the doors.”
Cindy, Financial/Insurance Coordinator
Cindy joined our team in April of 2014. She began her dental career as a dental assistant after graduating from the Clover Park Dental Assistant program in 1975 but soon discovered how much she enjoyed working the business side of dentistry and transitioned to the business office over 25 years ago. She has been married to her wonderful husband Jim since 1978 and has 2 grown married children, Kevin and Katie. Cindy and Jim recently welcomed their first grandchild, baby James, in October 2017. Cindy enjoys quilting, baking, monthly Bunco club, and spending fun times with her family and friends (and of course her grandbaby!) She also spends time at Mount Rainer since her husband and son are both National Park Rangers.
“I am proud to be a part of the administrative team for Dr. Wightman. It is my pleasure to assist you with any insurance or account issues you may have and make your experience at Evergreen Oral Surgery an incredible one”.
Dawn, Patient Care Coordinator
Dawn joined our team in August of 2014. She graduated top of her dental assisting class in 1998 and has learned many different positions in a dental office from working as a lead dental assistant to being the Dental Sleep Management Director at a TMJ/Pain clinic. Dawn oversees our Office Safety Program and is a certified BLS Training Instructor and an EMT. Dawn has been married to her husband for over 17 years and has 3 kids. Her oldest is proudly serving in the US Air Force and he comes home whenever he can to visit. In her spare time, Dawn likes to watch her 2 daughters play sports and listen to them play in their school band. She also participates in 5k’s with her youngest daughter whenever she can.
“I love being the first person to greet you when you walk into our office. My goal is to make each of you feel welcome and at ease and answer any questions that you may have.”
Liz, Patient Treatment Coordinator
Liz joined our team in February 2017. Liz has completed a dental assisting program in 1998 and her bookkeeping certificate in 2016. Currently, she is enrolled at Pierce College to continue her education. She has worked in Oral Surgery and Periodontics for over 20 years and has found her true passion serving patients and our team in the treatment coordinator position. In her spare time, she can be found exploring Pierce County (getting to know the area better as she has recently moved to Tacoma from the Grays Harbor area), running with her yellow lab Kasper, spending time with family and friends, baking, reading, traveling, watching the Seahawks, and doing anything outdoors.
“My goal as the treatment coordinator is to give the very best care to our patients and their families, making them feel at ease with my confidence, experience, and knowledge.”
Juli, Marketing Coordinator
Juli joined our team in the Fall of 2017. After receiving her B.A. in History from Trinity Western University, she spent 10 years working for a Seattle based cruise line. With her background in customer service training and development, marketing and recruiting, Juli brings a unique set of skills to EOS. After taking several years off to raise her two sons, Juli was thrilled to join Evergreen Oral Surgery’s team as Marketing Coordinator. She lives in Gig Harbor with her husband and two boys. When not on the sidelines of one of her boys many sporting events, Juli enjoys traveling, hiking, reading and spending time with family and friends.
“I truly look forward to coming to work every day! It is so fun and rewarding to be a part of such a great team.”
Bailey, Surgical Assistant
Bailey joined our team in September 2013, just a month and a half after our practice opened. She has been an oral surgery assistant since 2009 and is highly skilled at what she does. She has completed extensive training in oral surgery and IV sedation. She is nationally recognized as a Certified Dental Anesthesia Assistant. She grew up in Washington and has lived in Bonney Lake most of her life. She is happily married to the love of her life and together they love being active doing anything outdoorsy. They have a daughter born in September 2016 and are expecting another daughter come January 2018.
“I am happy to be a part of this team because Dr. Wightman is very skilled at what he does and truly makes it a pleasure to come to work each day. I enjoy being able to help people and go home each day knowing I helped to improve someone’s life.”
Rebecca, Surgical Assistant
Rebecca first joined our team in January 2014 as an extern but was soon hired as a vital member of our surgical team in March and is now in charge of our pathology department. She was born and raised in Washington and currently lives in the Sumner area. In her spare time, Rebecca loves going to the beach, working out, and spending time with her family and friends. She also enjoys reading, golfing, and hiking.
“I love being a part of this office. It is a great feeling being able to help people every day and getting to work with an amazing team.”
Allie, Surgical Assistant
Allie joined us in February 2015 after she graduated with honors from the Bates Technical College Dental Assisting program in 2014. Fairly early on in school she realized that she wanted to become a Surgical Assistant because she enjoys helping people and making them more comfortable in stressful situations. Since joining our practice, she has passed the Dental Anesthesia Assistant National Certification Examination and is nationally recognized as a Certified Dental Anesthesia Assistant. When she is not at work, Allie loves going to the beach, working in her yard, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
“I wake up every day looking forward to going to work – THAT’S how amazing this office is! Everyone is so nice and I am constantly learning new things.”
